       Title: Clockwork Princess
       Author: Cassandra Clare
Series: "The Infernal Devices" Book 3
Synopsis: Tessa Gray should be happy—aren't all brides happy? Yet as she prepares for her wedding, a net of shadows begins to tighten around the Shadowhunters of the London Institute. A new demon appears, one linked by blood and secrecy to Mortmain, the man who plans to use his army of pitiless automatons, the Infernal Devices, to destroy the Shadowhunters. Mortmain needs only one last item to complete his plan. He needs Tessa. And Jem and Will, the boys who lay equal claim to Tessa's heart, will do anything to save her.

As some of you might already know, I am obsessed with The Shadowhunter Chronicles. I have been addicted to these books for nearly two years and I do not plan on stopping any time soon. "The Infernal Devices" series has been my ultimate favorite.

"Clockwork Princess" started off slow, but ended with a bang. After the second book, I feel that the slower pace for "Clockwork Princess" was necessary. The first two books had a fast pace, and sucked me further into the shadowhunter world. I felt like I was gobbling up the words because I was reading each sentence so fast.

The setting of this book is remarkable. Clare gives us a realistic vision of Victorian London without boring the reader with details and more details.

I was very satisfied with the way Clare chose to end this prequel to "The Mortal Instruments". The epic battle with the automatons actually left my fingers twitching as I turned the pages to reach the final stand off with Mortmain. The action in this book was amazing.

Tessa Gray is one of my favorite heroines. In my honest opinion, she is much more relatable than Clary Fray. Tessa is a strong, imaginative, and witty young woman. I think anyone could relate to her; whether it's the heartbreak she endures throughout the novel, her stubbornness, or even her love of literature and all things romantic.

To end this spoiler-free review, I will admit that I ended this book in tears. This final installment to "The Infernal Devices" trilogy left me with a hole in my heart. I didn't want it to end; I wanted to go on reading about Tessa, Will, and Jem.
